A natural graft of guava and pear, pear guava is beloved throughout Colombia for its zestful citrus flavor and striking red flesh. Another favorite local is soursop, a vitamin C-rich fruit with prickly green skin, a creamy texture and a bold flavor often compared to pineapple or strawberry.
Blended, this fruity duo adds a delightful dose of acidity to our Colombian grower partner’s organic green tea, while simultaneously providing a soft mouth-feel and tropical flavor that stays with you after each sip. An uplifting combination of tea, fruit, and the refreshing essence of nature at its finest.

Nestled some 6,000 feet above sea level within the Andean cloud forest ecosystem, the small tea garden of our Colombian partner growers was established with the aim of growing excellent tea while simultaneously protecting the environment and making a positive impact on the local community.
Located in Colombia’s biogeographic region of Chocó and surrounded by a protected rainforest, the garden produces exceptionally good tea, which owes its flavors to the region’s unique terroir.
Their tea is grown in mineral-rich volcanic soil that naturally promotes lush tea plant growth and extraordinary biodiversity. Additionally, the garden’s proximity to the Equator (which lies just south of Colombia’s border with Ecuador) and the region’s consistent climate and plentiful rainfall results in an abundant production of remarkable tea throughout the year.
Furthermore, our partner growers lead a number of initiatives that aim to progress the community including ones that improve education, infrastructure, recreational opportunities, and access to technology in the local township.
For these reasons, we’re proud to call them our partners and we’re excited to share with you their innovative naturally flavored teas including our Choco Loco and Wish You Were Here.
