WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED ONLINE?
We accept payments by credit card (American Express, VISA, Mastercard, JCB, Discover); Apple Pay; PayPal; Shopify Pay; and Diners Club.
HOW ARE ONLINE PURCHASES SHIPPED?
We always select the most inexpensive shipping option for your convenience. This means that most of our orders are processed through USPS, while larger or more valuable items may be shipped through UPS. (Please note that UPS does not ship to P.O. boxes.)
If you would prefer that your order be sent via UPS rather than USPS, please contact us directly and we can help arrange that for you.

Please note that Gachi is not responsible for lost or stolen items, nor any fees that may be retroactively added to the shipping cost upon arrival.
DOES GACHI SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
Currently, Gachi only ships within the Continental United States (excludes Hawaii and Alaska). We do not ship outside this region, but hang tight -- we're working on it.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SHIP MY ORDER?
Orders are typically fulfilled within 3-5 days of order. Shipment can be tracked using the information provided through email.
CAN MY ORDER BE SHIPPED TO A DIFFERENT ADDRESS?
When placing your order, you are free to designate a delivery address that is different from your billing address.
Should you need to change the delivery address after completing your order, get in touch with us soon as possible, because your order will be shipped by shortly after it is placed. We can be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
WHAT ARE THE SHIPPING COSTS?
For orders totaling $49 or more, shipping is free anywhere in the continental United States. We offer a flat shipping rate of $5.99 anywhere in the continental US.
CAN I CHANGE OR CANCEL MY ORDER?
To make changes to an order or cancel it completely, please get in touch with us as soon as possible, as orders are shipped shortly after being placed. We are not able to change or cancel orders after they have been shipped. Please email us at email@example.com.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF ITEMS IN MY ORDER DAMAGED?
Please get in touch with us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org within 14 days of delivery. Make sure to include your invoice number. We will send you a shipping label to print out in order to return the damaged product. Once this has arrived back at our location, we will send you a replacement.
HOW DO I RETURN ITEMS?
We hope you love drinking Gachi’s teas as much as we love sharing them to you.
We offer full refunds and exchanges on unused teaware and tea accessories within 14 days of receipt. Should you want to return your purchase, get in touch with our customer service department at email@example.com.
We do not currently offer online returns on loose leaf tea.
All refunds will be processed using the same method of payment as the original purchase. Returns with a gift receipt are eligible for exchange only. All gift cards and sale items are final sale.
HOW DO I REDEEM AN ONLINE GIFT CARD?
Easy peasy! Once you’ve finished shopping, proceed to checkout and you’ll find a section where you can input your gift card’s unique code.
WHERE ARE GACHI'S PRODUCTS SOLD?
Our products can be purchased in our online shop as well as in stores, cafes and other retail partners that stock our products.
CAN I SELL GACHI’S TEAS IN MY CAFE, RESTAURANT OR STORE?
Gachi’s artisan-crafted teas and teaware are available for wholesale.
We serve high-end retail, restaurant and hospitality customers around the Gulf South region. We also provide support for our wholesale partners, including personalized tea consultation, staff training and tea menu development.

GACHI SELLS ARTISAN-CRAFTED “ORTHODOX” TEAS. SO, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN EXACTLY?
Orthodox tea production refers to the traditional process of producing natural, whole-leaf tea. In contrast to the mechanized mass production methods that are widespread in today's tea industry, orthodox production incorporates experience, age-old craftsmanship and the most premium quality into every step of the tea production stage.
WHERE DOES GACHI SOURCE ITS TEAS?
At Gachi, we’ve spent years visiting small-scale tea gardens, learning about their social and environmental practices. We meet our growers at the source to understand how they produce tea and treat their employees to ensure quality, stability, and social and environmental responsibility throughout the supply chain.
The personal interactions between our founder and our tea growers equates to long-standing relationships built on trust.

ARE GACHI'S TEAS ORGANIC?
Exceptional flavor and responsible environmental practices are at the center of our values. However, we do not use "organic" as a primary filter for sourcing teas because it limits our accessibility to the best collection of teas.
Because the process of gaining organic certification is prohibitively expensive for many of our growers who produce small amounts of tea, we also offer a variety of exquisite teas that are organic, but are not certified.
That said, all growers that we source from operate their gardens in a sustainable fashion, understanding that nurturing the soil and subsequently the tea plant is the only way to grow a sustainable crop.
WHAT IS GACHI’S VIEW ON SUSTAINABILITY?
For us, prioritizing sustainability is more than just a responsibility. Rather, making sustainability a core value helps to ensure that the world can continue to enjoy fine tea for many generations to come.
Careful consideration of tea sources, conscientious shipping methods and reusable packaging are all components of our comprehensive view on sustainability.
HOW DO YOU PACKAGE YOUR PRODUCTS?
In line with our focus on sustainability, our packaging has been designed with the environment in mind. We utilize reusable packaging formats like our design-centric tea tins. We also use recycled and biodegradable shipping materials, like our 100% Recycled Padded Mailers made from recovered newspaper and recycled kraft paper, and boxes made from 95% post-consumer content.

ARE GACHI’S TEAS GLUTEN FREE?
Although Gachi’s teas do not contain gluten, they are not produced and/or packaged in dedicated gluten-free facilities. Please check the product’s ingredient list carefully.
DO GACHI’S TEAS CONTAIN ANY SUGAR OR CALORIES?
Most of our teas contain virtually no sugar, carbohydrates or calories.
DO GACHI’S TEAS CONTAIN FLAVORING?
Gachi’s teas do not contain any flavorings or artificial ingredients.
DO ALL OF GACHI'S TEAS CONTAIN CAFFEINE?
Yes, caffeine is one of the components that contributes to a tea's flavor and stimulating effect. That said, there's a great difference between caffeine's effects in from that of it's effects in tea.
Tea naturally contains an amino acid called L-theanine that boosts productivity and focus, and lessens the negative effects typical of caffeine in coffee, such as jitters, anxiety and the “crash.”
Naturally low-caffeine tea options include our Genmaicha and Autumn in Tokyo teas. Our herbal tea like Lemongrass Lift also offers caffeine-free enjoyment.
For a more potent caffeine rush, we recommend Ceylon Breakfast or matcha.
WHY ARE GACHI'S TEAS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE TEAS I GET AT THE GROCERY STORE?
When considering only the package volume, Gachi's teas may seem more expensive than teas sold at supermarkets.
However, because of their premium quality, Gachi’s teas are more aromatic, flavorful and also suited for multiple infusions. Some of our teas can actually be infused up to 10 times!
When brewed properly, a cup of our tea costs only slightly more than a cup of the store-bought stuff, but the enhanced experience is well worth it! It's true what they say: you get what you pay for!
I DON'T HAVE ANY FANCY EQUIPMENT TO BREW MY TEA. CAN I STILL ENJOY GACHI'S TEA?
Absolutely! On the label, you’ll find information on the parameters including water temperature, leaf amount and infusion time recommended by our staff. More detailed brewing instructions can be found in the "Brewing Instructions" tab on each of the product pages.
HOW SHOULD I STORE TEA?
To maintain the flavors, aromas and active components of your tea for as long as possible, store your tea at room temperature, away from light, air, moisture and strong aromas (like spices). The tins that our teas are sold in are well suited for storage.
I’VE READ THAT TEA IS REALLY HEALTHY. WHICH ARE THE HEALTHIEST?
A number of studies have shown that drinking tea can have positive effects on one's health. However, we try to not make generalized statements (i.e. "Green tea will help you lose weight faster than white tea.") Every tea is produced in a different way, and thus contains various amounts of active ingredients that have differing affects on health.
ARE THERE TEAS THAT I SHOULD AVOID WHILE PREGNANT (OR HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, DIABETES, ETC.)?
For any and all health questions, it is best if you consult your healthcare provider. All of our teas have detailed ingredient lists, so you have the information you need to ask you doctor whether specific blends or ingredients are safe for you to consume.
WHY ARE YOUR TEAPOTS AND CUPS SO TEENY TINY?
Artisan-crafted, whole-leaf teas can be infused numerous times, and each infusion introduces subtly varying flavors and aromas. Our smaller-sized teapots have been designed so that you can enjoy these subtleties and get the most out of your tea experience without having to use an excessive amount of leaves.
